Pianist Yikon Lai is currently a Bachelor of Music student at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), where he is studying under Dr. Cherry Tsang. In addition to his work as a solo pianist, he has extensive experience as a collaborative musician and participated in both choral and orchestral ensembles. He has also passed LTCL with distinction.

Yikon has played in various masterclasses held by world renowned pianists such as Boris Slutsky, Leon McCawley, Eduardus Halim, Vivian Li, Juan Lago, Filipino Gorini and Jan Čmejla etc.

He is the winner of the European Star — Hong Kong Young Artist Award 2025 and have been offered a scholarship to participate in the European Star Summer Music Tour 2025. He is also the winner of serveral other competitions, reflecting his sustained dedication toward his musical development.

Yikon is both a pianist and a piano instructor, providing lessons for students from beginner through early-advanced levels. His student-centered approach prioritizes individual learning needs and fosters motivation through enjoyable activities. He emphasizes incremental mastery by setting clear, short-term objectives and balancing playful exercises with focused technical practice. This structured, goal-oriented methodology ensures progress is measurable and sustaining for each student.
